What time is it?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8Â
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;Â
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;Â
a time to kill, and a time to heal;Â
a time to break down, and a time to build up;Â
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;Â
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;Â
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

That passage is so beautiful to me.
Usually it makes me tear up or cry, I guess I’m not fully sure why. But I do know it speaks to my heart.
Why am I writing about this now?Â
I feel I’m beginning a new season. A season that will have less writing. It is sad to me, but when I reflect on this passage, it gives me hope. Because the seasons are not forever. They are for a time.
A season of writing slowing down. A season starting the new ventures God is bringing me into. He’s blessing me into them. In His perfect timing. In His way. In His plan for me.Â
Praise you God and I pray I always remember both the season I’m heading out of and the one I’m heading into. And that I glorify you God in all of them.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
This verse brings such comfort to me. My writing…it has not been in vain. It is special to me and I cherish it and give all the glory to God for it. And it is not fully ending…it will just be slowing down
…until the next season God wants to bring it back.
I’m here to live out God’s calling. God’s plan. God’s way. God’s timing.
And PRAISE Him for giving me the blessings to do it! To carry it out by listening to Him. By trusting Him. By surrendering to Him.
The new season is exciting! The new season is good for me! And the new season belongs to God.
I believe in my heart, there is more writing to come…in whatever season God knows is best.
And missing it…that in itself is a blessing! Who knew? God did.
I don’t know the future, only God does. I do know I’ll be posting less. But I fully believe I will still be back from time to time. My blog isn’t ending…it is just slowing down
…for a season
And PRAISE you God for whatever comes in this new season!
And PRAISE you for my season of writing so much for my blog and for the website!
I thank you God.
I need you God.
I love you God.
You are my God.
In Jesus name,
Amen
So perhaps I should change the title of this entry.
Only God knows what time it is.
So here it is.
